I like my atmospheric Icelandic music as much as the next music blogger, but I plugged in the first single off of Sigur Ros’ latest (which I’m not even going to try to type, but the translation of which is ‘With a Buzz in Our Ears We Play Endlessly’) expecting the usual. What I got instead is this drum driven stomp of a jam that rocks much harder than we ever expected. Well done guys. Thanks for not putting me asleep!
And the video shows what I surmise to be life as usual in Iceland–which apparently is a cross between Quest for Fire and some sort of hippie collectivist living experiment. I’m packing the Valtrex and booking a flight now. Oh yea, warning on tons of nudity in this clip making it awesomely NSFW.
